Andyinc Foundation Environmental Research Postgraduate Scholarship

Bush Heritage Australia and the Andyinc Foundation are offering a top up scholarship to an outstanding graduate commencing post-graduate study in 2009 in the fields of applied ecology, zoology, botany, genetics, environmental science or indigenous and cultural studies for research that leads to improved conservation outcomes on Bush Heritage Australia’s Nardoo Hills Reserves in central Victoria.

The Scholarship

The Andyinc Foundation Environmental Research Scholarship (hereafter the ‘AFER Scholarship’) will commence in 2009. The AFER Scholarship will support postgraduate research from the fields of applied ecology, zoology, botany, genetics, environmental science, or indigenous and cultural studies with an emphasis on threatened species, ecosystem ecology and restoration ecology. The AFER Scholarship will support research addressing environmental management issues relevant to Bush Heritage Australia and leading to improved conservation outcomes on Bush Heritage Australia reserves, partner properties or surrounding landscapes.

The AFER Scholarship seeks to foster research collaborations between ecologists and land managers within Bush Heritage Australia and student and academic researchers at leading Australian universities. The close working relationship with Bush Heritage Australia will provide candidates with an insight to the non-government conservation sector.
