Outback Bush Blitz to unearth new species

Top scientists target arid South Australia

A team of 20 scientists, Earthwatch volunteers and BHP Billiton environmental professionals will conduct the largest‐ever survey of plants and animals on Bush Heritage Australia’s Bon Bon Station Reserve in arid South Australia from 25–31 October.

The survey is part of Bush Blitz – a continental scale survey launched this year to document plants and animals protected in Australia’s National Reserve System. Bush Blitz is a partnership between the Australian Government, BHP Billiton, Earthwatch and AusPlots Australia.
