With 100% of their iconically-Australian sheepskin range made right here in Australia, it seemed fitting when in October 2008, Emu Australia formed a partnership with Bush Heritage Australia. As a result, we are pleased to announce Emu Australia has made a significant donation to Bush Heritage, contributing to the conservation of Australia's unique and abundant diversity of life.

In particular, Emu Australia will contribute towards the conservation work on Bush Heritage's South Australian property, Boolcoomatta Reserve, where they felt there was a natural symmetry with their sheepskin range. 

Boolcoomatta Reserve in eastern South Australia protects 63,000 hectares of iconic arid landscape. Its vast saltbush plains and freshwater wetlands provide vital refuge for many plant and animal species, including the vulnerable plains-wanderer and the threatened thick-billed grasswren.

Coel Dart, Emu Australia's International Marketing Manager, said "It was little wonder that Emu chose Boolcoomatta Reserve, a Bush Heritage protected property and former sheep station, for our 2009 catalogue shoot.

A unique rural property located in the heart of Australia, Boolcoomatta Reserve provided us with landscapes and wildlife that were uniquely Australian.
