Payroll or Salary Deductions

Payroll deductions are small regular deductions taken from your pre-tax salary at each pay period . They are organised through the pay office at your workplace. Like other donations to Bush Heritage, payroll deductions are fully tax deductible.

Many people believe strongly in protecting our environment but just don't have time to be activley involved. Those with the economic power of a reasonable income have the capacity to work hand-in-hand with others to make a difference by making financial contributions. Payroll deductions are a great way to help. Your regular contributions will provide invaluable support for Bush Heritage and assist its work to acquire and protect land for our native animals and plants and the habitats they depend on.

By choosing to have a small amount deducted from your pay each week you can be secure in the knowledge that your donations will be doing something valuable for the environment.

The motivation to support Bush Heritage through payroll deductions can come from anyone within an organisation. Each employee can encourage others to be involved. Some employers will also match employees' contributions, doubling the benefit to your chosen charity.

How you can help further

Email your work colleagues and ask them to visit our website to get more information and consider making a small contribution from their pay. Every contribution makes a difference.

Coordinate a request to your employer to set up a Payroll Deduction Program in your workplace. The Salary Deduction Authority form below can be emailed or sent to each employee to sign, giving permission for a chosen amount to be deducted from their pay at each pay period. This form is then given to your pay office and the amount will be deducted and sent to Bush Heritage.

Bush Heritage can supply flyers or a letter explaining the program  to send to your colleagues.

Once the payroll deductions are underway Bush Heritage will contact the payroll office in order to send out a receipt for each participant.at the end of the financial year. 

Bush Heritage can help to encourage others to follow your example or promote your colleagues' commitment to the environment. For example, we can give a talk at your workplace or participate in a joint publicity exercise.
