Conservation Team

Volunteer archives officer (South Australian Museum)

A volunteer is needed to finish compiling the Bon Bon Station archive. The archive comprises valuable pastoral records for a remote South Australian homestead. This is a great opportunity to participate in activities at the South Australian Museum.
Dates: start end February – early March, flexible.
Places: 1
Time commitment: Approximately 5 days, hours per day flexible and dependent on the availability of necessary equipment at the Netley Annex.
Location: South Australian Museum annex – Netley, Adelaide.
Tasks: Scanning documents, keeping digital records, following record keeping protocols.
Prerequisites: Essential: able to use scanner and related computer programs. Own accommodation and transport in Adelaide. Interest in history. Happy to undertake repetitive tasks.
Support: administrative support and advice from museum staff. Equipment.

About Conservation Support Volunteers

Conservation Support Volunteers assist with clerical and administrative tasks and are typically located at the Conservation Support Centre (Level 5, 395 Collins St, Melbourne).

Conservation Support volunteers actively support the smooth running of the organisation by helping with day-to-day business and other projects.
