Inaugural Kosciuszko to Coast Open Day Saturday 12th April 2008
K2C is an ambitious community partnership to help landholders identify, enhance and extend isolated woodlands and grasslands on a landscape scale. K2C and its many partner groups can offer bucket loads of information and incentive options to enhance land management on your property. Find out through talks, walks, demonstrations and tours on the day what K2C is all about and the terrifi c benefi ts of maintaining native pasture in grazing regimes. Learn about the many animal and plant species that rely on grasslands and woodlands.
- Where: ‘Ingelara’, Monaro Hwy, 12km south of Michelago and 40min drive from Canberra. Watch for signs.
- Gates open: 9:30am for 10:30am speakers and winds up at 4:00pm.
- Gold coin entry to support local Landcare groups.
- Bring your boots, hat, sunscreen and your best smile.
The awesome lucky gate prize is an Aquila Helicopter Flight to give an eagle eye view of the K2C landscape. Joy rides are also available.
