Protected Forever - Natural Heritage

"Protected Forever", a special edition of Natural Heritage, takes a look inside Australia's National Reserve System (NRS). Part of the Natural Heritage Trust, the NRS programme aims to establish a network of protected areas across Australia. Its investments enable partners, such as Bush Heritage Australia, to buy or establish properties as part of this reserve system.
Both Scottsdale and Cravens Peak were acquired with help from the Australian Government's NRS Programme. Both reserves feature in this special edition as case studies that highlight the value of partnerships with local communities, scientists, federal and state governments, and other conservation organisations.
