Interview with Max Bourke, The Thomas Foundation and The Nature Conservancy, Robert Purves, Purves Environmental Fund, and Lea Ferris, Australian Wildlife Conservancy, to discuss environmental philanthropy. Ferris explains the work of the Australian Wildlife Conservancy, saying the organisation puts a lot of focus on the science of wildlife and land conservation. Ferris says the AWC has received significant funding from several large bequests. Purves believes that the Australian water crisis has led to a growing awareness of climate issues and that Australian politicians must be encouraged to see the possibility of improving the environment. Bourke explains how philanthropy has aided nature conservation.
