The robust greenhood orchid, previously thought extinct, makes its first appearance since 1941
Listed as extinct under the EPBC Act (1999) and not seen since 1941, the robust greenhood has been rediscovered on the Nardoo Hills Bush Heritage Australia reserve, 100 km from Bendigo.
Staff of Bush Heritage and the North Central Catchment Management Authority discovered the orchid on a recent field trip to Nardoo Hills Reserve.
