Carnarvon Station Reserve Case Study

This video showcases Carnarvon Station Reserve (CSR), which was purchased by Bush Heritage Australia in 2001.  This 59,000 hectare reserve is in central Queensland, 600 km west of Bundaberg.  It is cradled in a largely intact valley beside Carnarvon National Park.

CSR is situated within one of the largest forest blocks in the Brigalow Belt South bioregion. Not long ago, this region had the highest rate of land clearing in the country. This reserve is now an important site for the recovery of ecologically significant land, water and wildlife.
