Loggerhead Turtles at Reedy Creek

Thursday 09 June, 2016

Coastline adjacent our Reedy Creek Reserve in Queensland is vital for Loggerhead Turtle breeding.

Historically, stories from the 70s and 80s suggest fox numbers were high and predation on the turtles was extreme. Since our monitoring work with local volunteers over the last 13 or 14 years, we've seen turtle numbers increasing. They're now about double orginal figures.
