Tarcutta Hills

The 432 hectare Tarcutta Hills Reserve is of national significance because it protects perhaps the largest area of grassy whitebox woodland in good condition left in Australia. It has unusually high species richness and provides habitat for the nationally threatened turquoise parrot and the nationally endangered swift parrot.

Management work: Fencing, fire-breaks established, bird surveys, feral animal surveys and control, cabin improvements, solar-system installed, weed control.
Contributes: to the protection of one significant community and 13 species at risk.
