South Esk Pine
The 6.8 ha South Esk Pine Reserve is located on the banks of the Apsley River near Coles Bay on Tasmania's east coast and protects the last large stand of the endemic South Esk pine. This pine is found only in Tasmania and is considered vulnerable, with only 10,000 trees left on the planet.
Management work: Fencing and weed control.
Contributes to: the protection of one significant community and seven species at risk.
