Scottsdale will form an important link in a state government plan to create a wildlife corridor along the east coast of Australia.

The Great Eastern Ranges wildlife corridor will stretch 2800 km along the east coast of Australia and aims to assist the movement of plants and animals in response to climate change.

Scottsdale is already part of the Kosciuszko to the Coast project which aims to connect habitats from the Australian Alps to the eastern coastline and will now also form a link in the governments' Great Eastern Ranges wildlife corridor.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports on the importance of Scottsdale to the Great Eastern Ranges wildlife corridor.
