Torrential rain brings life to the landscape

Desert gets best rain in 30 years

The immense amount of rain that has recently fallen over the Northern Territory and Queensland has caused flooding that is probably a once-in-30-year event, according to ecologist Max Tischler. Bush Heritage's Ethabuka Reserve is part of the desert plains which have now been transformed to resemble an inland sea, and which is expected to attract an abundance of native animals.
