Ecological Outcomes Monitoring
The Bush Heritage Ecological Outcomes Monitoring (EOM) program is breaking new ground in improving our understanding of the Australian landscape and how our actions affect it, either positively or negatively.
It represents the first attempt in Australia to find a simple, repeatable and reliable way of measuring environmental health over time and thus learning how the land and its wildlife respond to land management activities.
Restoring land and wildlife report
This report "Restoring land and wildlife" is the first in a series that will bring the results of our monitoring on Bush Heritage reserves to the community. The focus in this preliminary report is south-west Western Australia and published July 2007.
Ecological Outcomes Monitoring on Bush Heritage reserves
Ecological Outcomes Monitoring is being implemented on our reserves and will also be implemented on land that we are managing for conservation in partnership with others.
Collecting The Data
Details of our data collecting indicators gives us valuable information about what is happening at a site and, over time, allow us to monitor changes at a site and across its landscape.
