Restoring land and wildlife report

Ecological Outcomes Monitoring Report for South-west Western Australia, July 2007

Kojonup

This report is the first in a series that will bring the results of our monitoring on Bush Heritage reserves to the community.  As managers of conservation land, if we can better understand the direct relationship between our management actions and the benefits they bring to the land and its animals and plants, we can use this information to improve our management strategies.

The focus in this preliminary July 2007 report is south-west Western Australia.  In 2008 we will report on progress for reserves in south-eastern Australia, and in 2009 for reserves in northern Australia. Each year the Bush Heritage Annual
Report will also provide a concise and meaningful summary of these achievements as part of our usual reporting process.

Bush Heritage Australia gratefully acknowledges the Macquarie Bank Foundation’s support of the Ecological Outcomes Monitoring project
