Canberra birdos come back again!

on 14 Nov 2014

For yet another year the Canberra Ornithologists Group came back into the area to do their bird surveys on ten local sites.

Scottsdale Reserve, of course, had two of these sites (well, three if you call lunch in the shed a site). It was certainly a popular spot!

Ably led once again by the unstoppable Nicki Taws, the trip saw over 70 species recorded, 6 of which where vulnerable.

These two beautiful photos were taken by Tobias Hayashi and are of the two species that were recorded breeding - the spotted pardolote and scarlet robin.
