Kojonup Reserve in Western Australia has a flash, new boot cleaning station.
Pytophthora dieback is a water mould that kills many species of plant including Banksias, and it can be spread by muddy boots. Visitors to the reserve can now clean their boots before walking in the wandoo woodland.
The station was funded by the WA State NRM office through the Dieback Working Group and is a welcome tool to help keep this beautiful reserve dieback free. It may need a coat of camouflage paint though!
