We know many of you across the country are housebound at the moment and dreaming of getting out into the bush so we decided to give you a little gift to fill your time.
Today, we’re proud to share with you the stories told at our first ever Bush Nights event held in Melbourne in February.
Bush Nights is our new live storytelling event series that brings the bush to the ‘burbs through personal stories from powerful minds.
Click the sound player below to listen to the storytellers from Bush Nights: Stories from the water:
- CliFi author Alice Robinson
- expert in Indigenous knowledges and thinking Tyson Yunkaporta
- water lawyer Rebecca Nelson
- Indigenous water scientist Bradley Moggridge
- Plus special musical guests The Orbweavers.
Bush Nights: Stories from the water was the first in a series of three events to be followed by Bush Nights: It all starts with a seed and Bush Nights: Stories of smoke and survival.
Due to the COVID-19 health crisis these two events have been postponed until further notice but stay tuned for more Bush Nights audio treats in the not too distant future.
We acknowledge that Bush Nights took place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
