Friends of Charles Darwin & Eurardy Reserves

on 28 May 2013

Ian Hamilton, Luke Bayley and Dave Whitelaw joined with the long-term, Perth-based Friends of CDR volunteers for an evening of soup, stories and sharing each others company.

Len & Valerie Warren opened up their house to the many volunteers to listen to Bush Heritage staff describe the happenings on-reserves and talk about what's on the horizon.  Ian's description of the fire, feral and weeds activities on Eurardy struck a chord with the group and the photo-board Nicki produced to show-off the wildflowers and volunteer activities went down a treat.

Luke's Gundawa regional conservation activities, indigenous engagements, school group visits and the upcoming reserve open day in October were all of great interest to the group.  Many options for weeding and infrastructure working bees and involvement in the open day had people reaching for the diaries.

A good night was had by all.
