While some of our reserves and staff have experienced tempretures around 48-50c in the last week, my 'other home' is today experiencing -25c with a wind chill of -40c.  Ahh, how I miss Milwaukee!

Apparently some of the animals at the Milwaukee Zoo weren't fazed.  Snow leopards, polar bear, caribou, Dall sheep, moose, elk, timber wolves and the Bactrian camels, native to the cold Gobi Desert, all were pretty cruise-y!  Wild animals from cold climates don't eat much in the winter, instead bulking up in the autumn.
