On Saturday Hamelin Station Stay Managers Jason and Shane Bartsch, coordinated a wonderful ANZAC dawn service in front of the Hamelin Shearers Quarters for staff and visitors.

The group enjoyed speeches and a poignant flag raising ceremony as the sun slowly rose, accompanied by music.

After the main event, Jason and Shane with the help of Bush Heritage volunteers Wendy and Eric Hayes, coordinated a big breakfast with homemade damper, sausages, and bacon and eggs for all attendees to share and enjoy.

The guests found the experience extremely moving and enjoyable. Shane commented, “It was a definite hit with the customers”.
