New Threatened Ecological Community for SW WA

on 06 Feb 2014

The Federal Government has just listed a new Threatened Ecological Community on the South Coast of Western Australia. Its official title is 'Proteaceous Dominated Kwongkan Shrublands of the Southeast Coastal  Floristic Province of Western Australia'. Although the exact extent is not yet known, all our FitzStirling properties contain areas of this threatened community. Now we have a further compelling reason to persist in our efforts in this area. The challenge for us will be restoring the degraded bits and protecting those remaining areas that are in good condition.
