Bush Heritage has 700 registered volunteers located in most regions of Australia. Recently we discovered quite an active community of volunteers located in Newcastle.
This wonderful group of people have formed a social group to enjoy stories from their Bush Heritage adventures and to get to know one another over a BBQ.
They were joined by our Bon Bon Station Reserve's Manager and Field Officer, Clint and Kate Taylor, who happened to be holidaying and visiting regular volunteer (and Clint’s Mum) Jenny Lee.
Said Newcastle-based volunteer Paul Bateman, “We were excited to meet each other and sit around and find out about our adventures on the various Bush Heritage properties as well as in our own lives. It was a wonderful opportunity to have Bon Bon Reserve Manager Clint Taylor with us and to hear about the work that he does in the field”.
The Newcastle volunteers plan to host regular get-togethers and would like to invite other interested people to join their meet up group at http://meetu.ps/c/3JBzb/zB5KW/f
