Mat McLean, is on the cusp of completing the Reedy Ck board walk with a soft opening planned in 2014 to evaluate the design while negotiations are completed with the Gladstone council regarding a car park. With interpretive signage also soon to be completed the 1st stage of this walking trail is a  low impact, class 1 walking trail, that will allow visitors to independently access for the 1st time the reserves seasonally flooded paperbark woodland. Mat's construction a combination of stepping stones for the deeper sections and Tassie inspired board walking gets visitors deep into the head waters of Reedy Creek to experience 1st hand the beauty of this environment. Year round sealed road access and located in the tourist Town of 1770/Agnes Water,  its hope that the Reedy Creek Reserve board walk will quickly become a visitor attraction that will showcase the reserve and Bush Heritage.
