A recent visit to Tarcutta Hills to introduce Matt, the region's ecologist, to the reserve saw these amazing views early one morning.

I was then reminded the extent to which ecologists sniff, chew and mutter as they crawl slowly across the landscape - fascinating, so much so three Gang Gangs flew over and watched!

We did come across this recently fallen tree with all its re-sprouting, eucalyptus tenacious, and always amazing. At the time we were in the middle of the white box dominated forest which is on the Register of National Estate.
