Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area

on 02 Mar 2015

For the past few years, our Liffey Valley Reserves have been part of conversations to do with the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

The Liffey River and Coal Mine Creek Reserves were added to it in 2013, making them Bush Heritage Australia's first reserves to be World Heritage listed.

At present, the Federal and Tasmanian State Governments are working through the planning process for the 1.58 million hectare world heritage area.

We have recently received the attached information regarding this planning process so thought this may be of interest to other staff passionate about Tasmania.
