My name is Karolee Wolcott and I’m the south-east Australian representative on the Volunteer Advisory Committee. I've been working on developing a volunteer related project to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

In the year 2000 I attended the United Nations Headquarters in New York as a representative of Rural Women at the 'Women 2000: Gender Equality, Development and Peace for the Twenty-First century' forum.

I would like to use both this experience and my years of volunteering on Bush Heritage Reserves, to help in developing a project that will contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The work we do at Bush Heritage supports Goal 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity losses.

The Volunteer Advisory Committee is certainly keeping me busy and we will provide further updates on my project in the latter half of this year.
