Last week saw the new Bush Heritage volunteer coordinating staff, Michelle and Leanne, visit Scottsdale to meet some of the hard working team of volunteers on the reserve.

A good week of weed control, rabbit control, erosion assessments and grassland surveys was had which culminated in a get together in the Botanical Gardens last Saturday morning.

This excellent morning tea, of 35, allowed Leanne and Michelle to really get to know the people involved. Indeed for many of the volunteers it was also a chance to meet each other as they often pass like ships in the night on the reserve.

The ultimate purpose of course was a small thank you for the >1,000 days of volunteer labour undertaken at Scottsdale this year, covering every aspect of reserve life.

Thank you !
