This piece was written by 11 year old Travis Nurse, Grandson of Bob and Sandra Ruscoe up for a school holiday adventure.. great to see the next generation getting into it!  Over to you Travis..

This is a Western Netted Dragon which digs holes for their young. They have a spectacular pattern on their back and can grow up to around 42cm. Western Netted Dragons live for about 10 years in the wild and around 18 years in captivity. I love this lizzard for its spikes, patterns and the fact that they look so Australian!
