Following good rainfall, this year’s WA wildflower season was a cracker. Charles Darwin Reserve was a blaze of colour when two groups of bequest supporters visited - cameras at the ready. It's fair to say that some guests spent almost as much time on the ground as standing up, capturing tiny individual blooms as well as the landscapes bursting with colour.
Ecologists Vanessa Westcott and Ben Parkhurst were on hand to help with identification and draw attention to minute wonders that may have otherwise been missed.
Reserve Manager, Fiona Stewart, Luke Bayley and Banjo were wonderful hosts ably assisted by Angela and Suzy in the kitchen and volunteers Jacquie and Ian.
