Our home and office-based volunteers play a vital role in supporting conservation efforts behind the scenes. These roles contribute to a variety of projects, from research and administration to data entry and analysis.

Volunteers in these roles have made meaningful contributions by:

  • Researching key information to guide conservation management plans, address climate change impacts, and document the cultural and environmental history of our reserves.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as managing databases, transcribing interviews and webinars, taking meeting minutes, and refining policies and procedures.
  • Analysing data, including processing ecological data from motion sensor images with DigiVol, working with statistical programming tools like reviewing drone footage, and calculating greenhouse gas emissions.

As home and office-based roles are less common than on-reserve opportunities and as all the skills needed for these roles are well represented in our pool of registered volunteers, currently we're not taking applications from new volunteers for home and office-based roles.

We continue to welcome Expressions of Interest from passionate individuals eager to support our mission on our reserves.
