Developing a digital keeping place | Bush Heritage Australia Skip to main content

It was a beautiful flight out to Ramingining in Arnhem Land - so much water, so vividly green.

We spent the week with the Arafura Swamp rangers and Yolngu and Bi Traditional Custodians starting to build their digital keeping place (database) to help manage, protect and utilise the wealth of knowledge people have for Country.

This will be a valuable tool for the cultural mapping project and Intercultural Monitoring and Evaluation project that Bush Heritage are partnering with the Arafura Swamp Rangers Aboriginal Corporation to support.

This week we provided training and worked with the fulcrum field data collection tool, to record knowledge about plants, animals, cultural sites and stories.

This valuable knowledge can then be kept in the digital keeping place to share with the right people and future generations.
