With scientists forecasting a return to El Nino conditions, warmer temperatures and drought on the horizon, it’s vital that we make sure our vulnerable landscapes are ready for what’s to come. 

In Australia, the issue of bushfires will never go away. It’s not a matter of if, but when. That’s why so many resources go into our ability to respond to and control the severity of bushfires; as when you nurture the power of fire, you nurture resilience in our landscapes. 

For tens of thousands of years, Traditional Owners have been walking country, and burning regularly. At Bush Heritage our Fire Management Plans are made in partnership with Traditional Owners, drawing on their deep connection to country, and complex understanding of how to care for it.
