In celebration of International Women's Day

Bush Heritage Australia and Trust for Nature proudly presented the 11th annual Celebrating Women in Conservation Breakfast on Thursday 3 March 2022.

Attendees heard from our inspiring guest speakers Victoria McKenzie-McHarg and Linh Do to celebrate the powerfully important role that women play in the conservation sector.

An in-person event will be held at Zinc Federation Square, where supporters will enjoy a morning of networking with peers from the environment and conservation sector, have the opportunity to kick-off some thought-provoking conversations and savour the sumptuous grazing breakfast platters.

Nicola TokiKeynote speaker

Nicola Toki is a New Zealand conservationist and head of the country’s largest conservation organisation, Forest and Bird.

Nicola has an impressive history of conservation leadership and advocacy for wildlife and wild place in New Zealand, having worked in a range of roles across the private and public sector for almost 20 years.

Nicola has held leadership roles in the agribusiness industry, the Predator Free New Zealand movement, as the Department of Conservation Threatened Species Ambassador, and has represented New Zealand at international biodiversity science and policy meetings. Prior to her recent appointment as CEO at Forest and Bird, Nicola was the Operations Director for the Eastern South Island at the NZ Department of Conservation.
