Revegetation on the Edge

An ambitious project, jointly managed by Bush Heritage Australia and Greening Australia, will help wildlife move across a globally recognised biodiversity hotspot by restoring a critical piece of habitat between the Fitzgerald River and the Stirling Range National Parks in southern Western Australia.

Bush Heritage Australia has made a significant purchase of the quirkily named Dodgey Downs, creating nearly 4,000 hectares of connected bushland in this globally significant biodiversity hotspot for threatened species such as Noolbenger (Honey Possum), Gnow (Malleefowl) and Ngoolark (Carnaby’s Cockatoo).

‘Generation Restoration’ is this year’s World Environmental Day theme, and it couldn’t be more aptly timed alongside our campaign to purchase and restore Dodgey Downs.
