There are many more Australians we could be reaching and inviting to walk alongside us. That’s why we're proud to launch our new brand ad - The poetry of the landscape.

This year, we were reminded of the extraordinary power of people coming together to protect Australia’s irreplaceable landscapes. From major fundraising successes to growing on-ground engagement, every milestone we’ve achieved has been made possible by the commitment and generosity of our supporters.
In one of our most significant years to date, our community of supporters rallied to fund the acquisition of two vital conservation reserves: Nil Desperandum and Dodgey Downs. When we shared the opportunity to protect these landscapes, the response was immediate and heartfelt. Supporters from across the country – and around the world – contributed with urgency and passion, enabling us to act quickly and decisively.
“Together, our supporters helped raise the funds needed to secure these properties and begin their long-term protection. These campaigns were not just about safeguarding hectares of land – they were about preserving something much bigger: hope, resilience, and a future for generations to come. Our supporters turned opportunity into action,” explains Vibeke Stisen, Executive Manager of Engagement.
Beyond these landmark acquisitions, more people than ever connected directly with the places and purpose that drive our work. Volunteers gave more than 47,233 hours of on-ground support, while we welcomed a record breaking 6,800 guests to our events – from small supporter gatherings around the country to guided walks, reserve trips, major events in capital cities and webinars.
Our staff and partners generously shared their work across our communications platforms, connecting supporters with our on-ground work, celebrating the highlights and, at times, commiserating the lowlights with us.
More than 60,000 people read each of our quarterly Bushtracks magazine, and our social media now has a combined following of over 240,000 people, who share our care for Country.
We welcomed new supporters to our community, individuals and organisations, and enjoyed industry recognition for the strength of our engagement and effectiveness of our fundraising; Bush Heritage was named a winner in the Transform awards for our brand, while our fundraising efforts won second place at the Fundraising Institute of Australia awards. We continue to participate in benchmarking studies to ensure our fundraising remains industry leading in effectiveness and delivers best practice in donor management.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on nurturing relationships that last. We know that every dollar donated is an act of trust, and every hour volunteered is a gift of hope. Our goal is to ensure that all who support us feel seen, appreciated, and part of something bigger than themselves.
“In every corner of the organisation, we see the fingerprints of those who care – donors who give selflessly, volunteers who offer their time and energy, and advocates who help spread the message far and wide. It is a collective effort, and one we are proud to be part of,” says Vibeke.
Together, we are writing a story of hope – one reserve, one supporter, one shared vision at a time.
