Guided visits

Guided visits offer an opportunity to join Bush Heritage staff on our reserves for a stewarded experience showcasing the landscapes we manage and the conservation works and special projects we are undertaking. Hosted by our dedicated staff these trips are pre-planned and designed to be easy and accessible opportunities to connect with our properties and learn in greater depth about our work.

There are three types of guided visit you can join, each with a different level of support and difficulty. Read the descriptions below so you can select the trip that best suits you:

Guided walks

For those who love to explore on foot, Guided Walks offer an immersive way to experience our reserves. Led by knowledgeable field staff, each trip varies in duration and pace, but will provide plenty of time to connect with landscapes and engage in discussions with our qualified field staff.

Guided trips

Combine vehicle-based exploration with plenty of stops and short wanders. These are a great way to experience many of the reserve's highlights. Throughout the day, you’ll hear directly from expert field staff as they share insights into the landscapes, wildlife, and conservation projects they manage.

Field talks

Join subject experts for engaging presentations held on some of our more accessible reserves. These talks enable you to experience a reserve from a central base while immersing yourself in a range of conservation-based topics (subjects will vary for different locations). 

An optional short field excursion will usually be offered for those interested in exploring a little further, but trips will be designed to cater for low-mobility engagement.
