Wattle Gift Card

Flora
$40
Wattle card 6x4

There is nothing more timeless or Australiana than the wattle (Acacia). Found in every Australian state and territory, over one thousand species are found here.

The blooming of their golden flowers at the beginning of spring signifies seasonal changes and events such as the arrival of whales or the appearance of eels in rivers. Additionally, Aboriginal communities use acacias for wooden tools, pollen and sap for food, medicine, dyes, perfumes, and ceremonial decorations.

This wattle was photographed on our Monjebup Reserve, on Noongar country in south-west Western Australia.

This bushgift supports Bush Heritage’s work helping to preserve the myriad plant species found on our reserves across Australia. Find out more about the species we protect on our website: BushHeritage.org.au/species
