Natural wonders are in your hands

In just over a quarter of a century, Bush Heritage Australia has expanded from two small forest blocks in Tasmania to securing millions of hectares of land for conservation across our nation.

Our founding members were people just like you – lovers of nature. They didn’t see themselves as visionaries, they simply saw an opportunity to do something practical to help protect the environment.

Thanks to the support of people like you, in the last three decades we have been able to buy and manage a growing network of reserves around the country. We also respect, listen and learn from working side-byside with Traditional Owners, and in partnership with pastoralists and other organisations to have the most impact. In doing so we have already helped secure the habitats of over 6000 animal and plant species, including hundreds of threatened species.

We too are like an ecosystem, where our reserve managers, partners, volunteers, scientists and supporters work in harmony to protect all species.

With your help, we can continue to protect our vulnerable native species, collect important data on ecosystems across the country, develop effective tools to reduce habitat destruction, and improve the health and wellbeing of all native Australian plants and animals.
