Our organisation was established over three decades ago. Two blocks abutting the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, were put up for auction. Not wanting to see them woodchipped, environmental figurehead Bob Brown used his Goldman Environmental Prize money as a deposit. From this, Bush Heritage was formed.
