Bush Heritage, a leading conservation not for profit, is seeking an innovative Data Team Leader to drive our data strategy.

Our vision of healthy country, protected forever sees us work where we’re needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. With the help of our donors, we protect and help manage in partnership with Aboriginal people more than 8million hectares of land across the country. In our mission to return the bush to good health, we provide habitat for almost 6,000 native species, including at least 239 threatened species.  

About the role

This newly created role is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of relationships and data management to support a positive experience for our supporters and the achievement of fundraising and other strategic outcomes for the organisation.  

What you need to succeed

  • Solid skills in leadership, management, networking and influencing capability with proven ability to coach staff, build a strong and resilient team, retain talent and foster an innovative and results-orientated work culture. 
  •  Knowledge of CRM / relational databases, relational database applications, SQL, ODBC principles and Payment Gateways.  
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective listening, diplomacy and tact, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively, collaboratively and professionally.
  • Strong budget and financial management skills.
  • Ability to understand and experience finance principles in a complex environment.
  • Ability to implement projects and deliver specified outcomes within agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Management Systems or similar.
