Conservation careers focus on protecting ecosystems, wildlife, and natural landscapes. Bush Heritage employs staff in a wide range of environmental and conservation jobs across Australia, including:

  • Field ecologists and land managers: managing habitats, controlling invasive species, and monitoring wildlife
  • Conservation scientists and researchers: studying ecosystems, biodiversity, and climate impacts
  • Partnership liaisons: engaging with Traditional Custodians, farmers and volunteers
  • Corporate and support roles: including fundraising, communications, HR, and operations that enable conservation work.

Roles are spread across remote reserves, regional areas, and office-based environments.

Starting on an environmental science career?

Presented in the lead up to National Science Week, Environmental Science Careers for Change, was a virtual event that provided a chance for students to hear from and be inspired by professionals in the fields of environmental science and conservation.
