Dr Rebecca Spindler is our Executive Manager Science and Conservation, and she oversees our extensive Conservation Science Program, which informs everything that we do.

Dr Spindler has over 20 years of conservation science experience, working to improve the reproduction, health and conservation of rare and endangered species. She has managed extensive science programs in China, Brazil and the United States through the Smithsonian Institution. She led an active, multi-disciplinary team at Taronga Conservation Society’s Conservation Science Department for 10 years.

Dr Spindler is committed to effective collaboration for conservation outcomes and leads the Science and Conservation team at Bush Heritage to improve environmental impact reporting, empowering and guiding our researchers and land managers as they continue their work protecting Australia’s vulnerable species and habitats.
